Program Summary
BACKGROUND:
Access to quality education is a cornerstone of individual and societal development. However, many students face financial challenges that impede their ability to pursue higher education. The OPay Scholarship Program is designed to bridge this gap and make education more accessible.
Vision:
To empower future leaders by ensuring equitable access to quality education and fostering excellence for meaningful societal impact.
Mission:
To support talented students with scholarships that remove barriers, promote inclusivity, and enhance opportunities for success in education and beyond.
Target Beneficiaries:
Undergraduate students in public tertiary institutions.
Aim & Objectives:
  • To provide financial support to students facing economic barriers to accessing higher education.
  • To recognize and reward academic achievement.
  • To enhance the employability and future success of scholarship recipients.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
  • Must be a student offering any course of study in a Federal tertiary institution.
  • Must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) score of 2.8/4 for Colleges, or 3.5/5 (second-class upper credit) for Universities.
  • Student must have completed their second semester 200 level examinations going to 300 level and students currently in their 300 level as we understand that the academic calendar is not aligned across all federal post-secondary educational institutions.
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
  • Duration: Successful candidates will be supported on the OPay scholarship programme for two (2) academic sessions provided they align with the eligibility criteria.
  • Scholarship award per academic session: N300,000.
